Scuba Dave, Stuck in a Cave [GB Studio 2024 Fall Game Jam]

This is my submission for the GB Studio 2024 Fall Game Jam - the theme was "Uncharted Waters".

You're Scuba Dave, and he's (somehow?!) stuck in a cave. The cave is flooded, and lucky for you - Dave is an expert at swimming! 

Navigate the tricky cave system while holding your breath... reach the air bubbles to gain more time underwater, collect what treasure you can find, and avoid the nasty enemies out!

This was a rush to finish - I wanted to add so much more into the game, but I will save that for the expanded version! Been a great lesson though - applying new techniques and cementing good practices!

Hats off to Beatscribe for the inspirational music and some funky little SFX too - much appreciated!

Sprites and screens were my own, but tilesets were based off jrob774.

Top Score you can get on this level is 120.

Web keys: Arrows or WASD, z = a, x = b, Enter = Start

Move with the arrow keys, and swim/jump with A (Z in web version)

.gb is compatible with GB DMG, GBP, GBC, GBA etc with flash carts. High-score is saved.

.pocket is for Analog Pocket - although untested!
